Toronto's annual global marijuana march keeps growing and growing without a single arrest in it's 11 year history. Our Global Marijuana March (G.M.M.) is the largest of all 260+ participating cities with an estimated 20,000+ marchers taking part last year!

After the march many participants return to the Toronto Freedom Festival for 420 countdown celebrations. Last year we had a little downpour that couldn't dampen the spirits of the 30,000+ in attendance.

Express Yourself

For many people the march gives an opportunity for you to express yourself and your love for marijuana. This is the official Toronto Global Marijuana March haircut available onsite at the Toronto Freedom Festival. Now this is a haircut.

Extreme Bong Action!

Bongs, Bongs, Bongs. They are hundreds and hundreds of bongs visible around Queens Park. The High Times magazine crew were amazed at the size and amount of Bongs onsite. It really has become a major part of Toronto Cannabis Culture and several exhibitors at the TFF will be selling some of the best glass to blast before, during and after the march.

Snoop Dogg's DJ JAM rocked after the 420 Countdown!

Chronic Hip Hop Beats from one of the West Coast's brought out the sunshine. Jam compared the TFF to Cypress Hill's legendary SMOKE OUT event in California.

HIGH NOON GATHERING @ Toronto Freedom Festival

The G.M.M. starts to gather at high noon inside the Toronto Freedom Festival at Queens Park. Festivities like the march are FREE with several music stages and exhibitors to explore upon arrival. The march takes off north of the park at Charles at approximately 2pm so leave yourself enough time if you plan on being part of the world's largest march.

TRAVEL TO TORONTO....THE MARIJUANA MARCH MECCA!

This year we are looking to top 30,000 by offering travel packages with the Toronto Freedom Festival for out of town travelers looking for safe, and affordable, bus and hotel packages for the pilgrimage to the 'Mecca of Marijuana marches'. Check out the TRAVEL section on this site for package information from several Ontario, Quebec and U.S.A departure cities.

The Global Marijuana March takes place at Queen’s Park, which is located just south of the Royal Ontario Museum (at Bloor Street West and Avenue Road/Queen’s Park) and north of the Ontario Legislative Building (at Queen’s Park Crescent and Wellesley Street West). Please note that the march will begin at the north side of Queen's Park (at Charles Street) @ 2PM.

Please keep in mind that there is VERY LIMITED parking available around the park; using public transit would be the most convenient means of transportation.

If you're taking the TTC...

Take the Avenue Road Bus #5 south from the Eglinton subway station. The 142 routes use accessible buses and runs north and south with stops at Queen’s Park in front of the Weston Wing.

If you're taking the subway...

Travel to either Queen's Park station or Museum Station on the University section of the Yonge-University-Spadina subway line. The Bay and St. George Stations on the Bloor-Danforth subway line are also in close proximity.

If you're taking the GO Bus...

Depending on you're starting point, you could either take the GO Bus to Yorkdale, Union or Finch Station. You would then need to take the subway from any of the three stations towards Queen's Park or Museum Station.

If you're taking the VIA rail...

Depending on you're starting point, you will need to take the train route that ends in Toronto (Union Station). From that point, you would need to take the subway, exiting at either Queen's Park Station or Museum Station.

If you're driving...

From Hwy. 401: Exit at Avenue Road (Exit 367). Continue south. Follow signs indicating 11A. Avenue Road becomes Queen's Park Crescent south of Bloor Street West.

From QEW / Gardiner Expressway: Exit at Spadina Avenue. Proceed north on Spadina Avenue to Bloor Street West and then turn right (east). Proceed east on Bloor Street West until you reach Avenue Road/Queen's Park.

From the Don Valley Expressway: Follow Bloor/Bayview exit. Follow exit to Bloor Street. Turn right (east) onto Bloor Street West and continue to Avenue Road/Queen's Park.
