Where does Toronto’s G.M.M. take place?

The G.M.M. takes place annually in the streets of downtown Toronto. Marchers traditional gather inside Queen’s Park North at HIGH NOON, home of the Toronto Freedom Festival. What are goals of the Toronto G.M.M.?

The goal will once again to be the largest in attendance worldwide. We want to bring attention to the fact that the majority of Canadians to decriminalize marijuana. We also want to educate people on the medical benefits of marijuana for the patients who are too sick to attend and fight for their rights themselves. We also are striving to expand the rights of members of Health Canada’s medical marijuana program who are limited to the rights granted to them under the constitution of Canada.

What are the biggest challenges of the GMM?

We are always looking for responsible volunteers to help us with the parade as marshals, or at one of the donations stations. With over 20,000 people in the streets garbage is always an issue so please do your part by not littering. On Saturday May 1st get involved in the cause of marijuana decriminalization & legalization! The 12th Annual Global Marijuana March is TFF’s flagship event, where supporters of marijuana come together in a peaceful protest, marching the streets of Toronto. The Toronto Freedom Festival has 30+ food exhibitors so no worries on getting tasty eats.

The Toronto Freedom Festival is in its 4th year running, hosting a diverse array of musicians, DJ's, filmmakers, poets, retailers, speakers, creative artists and food vendors; along with medical, charitable & political organizations; all in the name of celebrating our freedoms. A person’s choice may not be the same as ours, but their freedom to choose should be; which is the message we hope to spread through our festival

How much does it cost to attend the G.M.M?

Nothing. It’s Free! Although we suggest people to invest in a sign.

How does the GMM & TFF survive if there free?

We rely heavily on the support from donations and support from the retail community and volunteers who help in every aspect of the event. We also have GMM merchandise on site that we exchange for donations onsite at Queen’s Park and on our website via PA PAL. Please, help us continue to protect, expand, and celebrate cannabis culture. Yes they are there to serve and protect us. The GMM has worked closely with the Toronto Police over 12 years to ensure that the march is as safe as it could possibly be. Let’s keep it that way by being responsible and respectful to the police who are there to keep us safe from vehicles.
